Wickerlings are a special type of wicked fairy that can be found throughout Fantastica. You can hardly walk a mile through the Kingdom of Fairies without running into one. While some are simply mischievous and like to pull pranks to get a laugh, others are more sinister in their intentions. Wickerlings feed on negative emotions. For some, feeding off of mild annoyance is enough. Others have cravings for sorrow, anger, jealousy, and fear. Wickerlings might set up elaborate schemes to cause suffering, or they might just take random opportunities as they come.

  • •Thorn Sword: Causes one Owie.
  • •Lead into Danger: The wickerling tricks the kitty into moving into a dangerous spot.
  • •Minor Curse: The wickerling casts a rank 1 curse (p. 5) on a kitty.

Adventure ingredients

  • Mass Irritation: Wickerlings have infested a castle and are causing so many inconveniences that everyone living there is in a terrible mood. The worst part is that none of them realize it's the wickerlings' doing and blame each other. The kitties need to find proof that this is the work of wickerlings or get the pesky fairies to stop.
  • Strange Lights: It's already easy enough to get lost in the Cursed Woods or the Frozen Mountain, but wickerlings are purposefully trying to lead people astray! Travelers keep following strange lights only to end up more lost than ever. Some of these travelers need to be saved from scary places.
