There are different names used for these creatures all over the world. But wherever you find them they’re always huge, snake-like creatures that lurk in the dark places at the very bottom of rivers and lakes. A sea serpent’s facial “whiskers” actually produce the cloud of mist the creatures use for hiding. This also makes taking clear photos of them hard for the frantic humans who do see them.

  • •Tail Splash: Gets a kitty soaking wet, incapacitating them for one turn.
  • •Bite: Causes 3 Owies.
  • •Snap: Snaps a weapon used against it in half.
  • •Flee: Kitties must make a Fierce check or the sea serpent suddenly vanishes into a cloud of mist.

Adventure ingredients

  • Hitch a Ride: Sea serpents are very motivated by food, and do almost anything if there’s the promise of a tasty treat afterward. This could include a speedy (but not very dry) ride across the Great Pond (p17)!
