Kelpie

Kelpies are shapeshifters who often take the form of elegant black horses. They often live alone in or near rivers, streams, and lakes. When not in horse form, they tend to appear as humans with aquatic plants stuck in their hair. Kelpies are generally lonely creatures who desperately want companionship. Sometimes they want it so desperately that they kidnap people or kitties. When in their horse form, a kelpie can make their body sticky so that anyone who touches them becomes stuck. Kelpies use this in order to drag people off to the water to live with them.
