Space is filled with advanced civilizations, and some of them have pursued some questionable scientific paths. While not all bioengineered alien creatures were made to be predators, the ones that can be found on Mars certainly were. These creatures are slightly larger than the average human. They are shaped vaguely like jaguars but have prehensile barbed tails and are covered in quills. Luckily for the kitties, these creatures are almost feline and recognize the kitties as a similar species so it's possible to win them over. Humans, however? They aren't quite so lucky. There's something about humans that Mars' bioengineered predators just can't stand!

Reactions

  • •Shriek: The creature lets out a terrible shriek that calls another one just like it to the area.
  • •Teeth, Claws, or Barbed Tail: Causes two Owies.
  • •Dangle: The creature's prehensile tail grabs a kitty by the leg and dangles them in the air, immobilizing them for one turn.
  • •Sticky Slime: Mars' bioengineered predators produce a lot of drool, and it's a foul-smelling, sticky, slimy substance. The creature spits at a kitty, gluing them to the spot and incapacitating them for the scene.

Adventure ingredients

  • The Pride: When the kitties or their humans open up a place that's been sealed shut for a very long time, they accidentally unleash a pride of bioengineered predators. Once the creatures find the colony, they surround the place and try desperately to break into the buildings to confront the humans they loathe so much.
  • Stalker: A lone bioengineered predator that gets inside the colony can be an overwhelming threat all on its own. It sticks to the shadows and pounces on people who stray from the group. Its victims end up in a slimy nest, unable to move or call for help because of the goo they're covered in.
  • Cohabitation: The kitties want to find a way for their humans to live in peace with the bioengineered predators. For example, they could build a sanctuary for the creatures. Or they might work with them on becoming less hostile toward humans.
