This magical tree is home to nature sprites and forest animals alike, and it protects its own with its rock-hard bark. But it has lived enough lifetimes to be very wise, as well.

Reactions

  • •Harden: When under attack, water is drawn from the tree’s bark making it super hard. Only magic can penetrate it.
  • •Grab: The tree entangles a kitty in its branches, incapacitating them for one turn and causing one Owie.
  • •Uproot: The tree pulls its roots out of the ground, then slowly moves away from those disturbing it. It can only stay uprooted for three rounds, then digs back into the soil.

Adventure ingredients

  • Fairy Dare: The creatures who live in an animated tree are said to gain some of its magic for themselves. The kitties take a wood sprite’s dare to stay a night in its branches, and end up with uncontrollable, random Magical Powers until the sun comes up!
